Crises, Conflicts and Development: Multifaceted Perspectives to Security

Security has become a widely applied concept in numerous contexts, ranging from crisis management to developmental interventions. Meanwhile, the scope and content of this multi-faceted and multi-dimensional concept still remains undetermined.

This conference brings together researchers, as well as students, from different academic backgrounds to critically discuss the different dimensions of security and its relation to conflict as well as development.

This conference is organized by the Finnish Society for Development Research (FSDR) in association with the Crisis Management Centre (CMC) Finland, the Institute of Development Studies (University of Helsinki) and the Finnish University Partnership for International Development (UniPID).
