CMC Finland is looking for interns for the year 2013 by 31 October 2012 The Crisis Management Centre (CMC) Finland is a governmental institution and a centre of expertise in civilian crisis management. CMC Finland annually recruits interns who will carry out tasks related to training, logistics, human resources and research and development. The ideal duration of the internship is 3 to 6 months. The six months internship periods are offered particularly in relation to research tasks. We assume applicants to have the following requirements/qualifications:
- A degree from a university or university of applied sciences (or at the final stage of studies) in the related field
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Good knowledge of English. Other language skills are considered a benefit.
- General IT skills and knowledge. Excellent skills are considered an advantage.
- B-driving license
High level of flexibility and adaptation to different tasks are desired. For the tasks related to research we prefer applicant to have academic competence on research methodology (qualitative and/or quantitative).
Depending on which sector the intern(s) shall work for, the duties and responsibilities can include:
- participating in training activities
- supporting administration, logistics and procurement
- contribute with publication activities
- conducting independent research and research activities under supervision
- arranging various events
- developing and maintaining www pages
The candidates are encouraged to apply funding for their internship from their institutes. In the case if the funding is not available the possible remuneration of 1103 € per month (defined by KELA) for the internship can be discussed.
