Exercise scenario

The scenario for the exercise BR07 will be an aviation accident. Aircraft will execute an emergency landing in the uninhabited areas of Inari municipality. More than 200 passengers will be injured or deceased. The passengers are mainly British tourists, but there are also other nationalities than British among the passengers. The possibility of terrorism can not be excluded.

Geographic and climatic conditions are challenging with long distances and limited infrastructure. The scenario will challenge all services and agencies to enhance trans-boundary cooperation. National authorities of Finland will request rescue assistance from BEAC countries.

The scenario will be developed further in the Main Event Lists which will form a basis for the Incident Lists.
