Target group: |  | Experts of various professions with no or some mission experience. Applications are invited from all fields of expertise needed in the crisis management missions, such as: police, customs, border, civilian administration, rule of law, gender, human rights, logistics, human resources, information management etc.
Experts with background in the field of security, human resources, finance, logistics, procurement and ITC working as support staff in missions are particularly encouraged to apply.

| Course content: |  | The course provides participants with the general knowledge and skills needed in a crisis management mission, independent of the specific function experts will fulfill within a given mission. The course also provides participants with an overall picture of the different functional tasks needed in a mission and how they are interrelated.

| Selection criteria: |  | Applicants must:
- be ready and willing to participate in the civilian crisis management missions;
- have a working knowledge of English;
- have a valid driving licence (category B);
- be physically and mentally in good health.
Prior to the course applicants must complete e-learning course eHest at https://elearning.consilium.europa.eu
eHest (Hostile Environment Security Training) is a web based course for staff members of Council of the European Union and external collaborators for Security Training.
Please, note that completing the eHest course takes time. Registration may take several days and conducting the whole course (6 modules) takes a minimum of 8 hours. After completing the course it is recommended to print out the certificate.

| Information on the course: |  | Finnish applicants: the cost of training, meals, accomodation and travel within Finland is free for Finnish nationals. A daily allowance for the duration of the course is paid.
Non-Finnish applicants: the cost of training, meals and accomodation is free. Travel is organised and payed by the non-Finnish applicants. No per diem is provided by CMC Finland.
