Police-prosecutor project in Afghanistan
As per a request from Afghanistan Ministry of the Interior, CMC Finland conducted the project to support the cooperation between Afghan police and prosecutor authorities between 2009-2013. The project was funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and CMC Finland was in charge of the implementation in collaboration with European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan (EUPOL Afghanistan). The aim of the project was to support the judiciary in the country and to build the capacity of police and prosecutor authorities in crime investigation.

Improving the Effectiveness of Capabilities in EU Conflict Prevention (IECEU)
Crisis Management Centre Finland was a partner in international IECEU (Improving the Effectiveness of Capabilities in EU Conflict Prevention) research project. The project was finalized in spring 2018. During the implementation, the project examined the effectiveness of conflict prevention and civilian crisis management capabilities of the European Union. CMC Finland conducted two of the case studies that analysed crisis management in Libya and the Palestinian Territories.
The main goals of the IECEU -project were:
1) Analysing the current situation of on-going and past European Union CSDP missions and operations
2) Learning from lessons provided by these CSDP missions and assessing the different options
3) Providing new solutions, approaches and recommendations for EU to guarantee long-term stability through conflict prevention and peacebuilding
