Course description
The Integrated Border Management (IBM) Course prepares experts for deployment to UN, OSCE, or EU peace operations. The course supports the development of professional and personal skills required to successfully work in a civilian crisis management mission or peace operation.
The curriculum includes, in addition to presentation modules, interactive practical exercises based on a scenarios that reflect IBM work environment. Important part of training is networking and sharing experiences and best practices with colleagues from police, border and customs backgrounds and thus find commonalities work methods and effective communication channels.

Learning outcomes / Aim
The aim of the Integrated Border Management course is to provide experts with current knowledge (e.g. legislative), skills (MMA-T) and attitude needed to work in complex civilian crises management environment.
Target audience
Experts looking to be deployed to civilian crisis management missions that are mandated to work with host country border management and/or cross border issues (e.g. immigration, migration, cross-border organised crime) and who fulfil the requirements of the position they could be recruited for. The course is for all staff irrespective of their professional background, what role they would play in the mission or what level of the mission they would work at, but mainly focusing on police, border and customs experts working in co-operation with host country IBM counterparts and relevant international organization.
