The Finnish Centre of Expertise in Comprehensive Crisis Management has be pleasure to welcome applications to the Integrated Crisis Management (ICM) course held 8 to 14 June 2019. The course will be organised in Helsinki, Finland, at the facilities of The Finnish Defence Forces International Centre (FINCENT).
The course looks at the UN integrated approach and aims to enhance the performance of military, police and civilian personnel deployed to, or looking to deploy to, UN Missions. Moreover, personnel from the UN Country Team as well as Non-Governmental Organisations, particularly humanitarian and development aid actors, are encouraged to apply.
This seven-day residential course uses reflection and simulation exercises to develop the skills, knowledge and competencies of participants with regard to UN multidimensional missions. The course will use specific tasks to reflect on the integrated approach in practical terms: Protection of Civilians (POC), Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) and Security Sector Reform (SSR).
