The course is organized by The Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence, the Austrian Centre for Peace (ACP) and the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the course<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The course is designed to enhance participants&#8217; understanding and capabilities regarding Security Sector Reform (SSR) within the EU&#8217;s integrated approach and associated policies, such as the EU strategic framework for SSR, the civilian CSDP compact, and the strategic compass for security and defence. It will cover SSR concepts, principles of good governance, EU and international SSR policy frameworks, EU support for national SSR program implementation, and related cross-cutting issues. Additionally, the course will foster the sharing of best practices and equip participants with tools to tackle future challenges and assess SSR needs. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen a network of SSR experts united by a shared understanding of SSR principles and actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Target audience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CMC Finland is seeking for a candidate who has participated in the Basic Training on Civilian Crisis Management (or sent to equivalent course by CMC Finland) and who have been deployed by CMC before or who are planning to apply to positions through CMC Finland. Those who are currently deployed by CMC should primarily apply through their mission\/operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the candidate must have strong motivation as well as suitable educational background and work experience to apply for positions where completing the course has concrete benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CMC Finland will nominate a candidate to the course, but the organiser is responsible for the final participant selection process. The nominated candidate of CMC Finland is not guaranteed to have a seat from the course. Those who are currently deployed to a mission should primarily apply through their mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Costs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CMC Finland will cover the plane tickets and reimburse the accommodation and in-country travel costs during the residential modules. CMC Finland does not pay per diems nor the meals during the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Form and Deadline<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apply for the course through CMC Finland by filling out\u00a0<strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/link.webropol.com\/s\/ssr2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Application Form via this link<\/a><\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>latest\u00a0<strong>on 12 January 2026 at 23:59<\/strong>\u00a0(UTC +03:00).
