In the conflict analysis workshop held for students and young people interested in conflict analysis, the participants will examine an ongoing conflict with a conflict analysis tool. The workshop will be held during Kriisinhallinta NYT event on 22.5. at 10-12 in Wanha Satama in Helsinki.
The aim of the workshop is to introduce the participants and deepen their understanding in regards to conflict analysis and its relevant instruments. No previous experience from conflict analysis is required and students from various academic backgrounds are welcome to participate. The workshop begins with an introduction to the conflict analysis tool as well as the conflict in question. After the introduction, the participants will analyze the conflict in small groups with a tool given to them. Experts in crisis management and peace mediation will support and comment groups´ analyses. The participants are given research material in regards to the conflict and analysis tool prior to the workshop.
