Save the Date: Crisis Management NOW – 5 May 2026

Finland celebrates seventy years of engagement in international crisis management this year.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs, CMC and other partners, will organise Crisis Management NOW – Serving peace 70 years and beyond, an event highlighting crisis management and peacebuilding, on Tuesday, 5 May at the University of Helsinki.

The event brings together experts, practitioners and decision‑makers to reflect on the evolution of comprehensive crisis management and to chart the course for the future. Actors from development cooperation and humanitarian aid will also take part.

The day’s programme includes topical panel discussions, expert talks and interactive workshops. A more detailed programme will be published on the event website in April.

If you are interested in international civilian crisis management roles, you may talk to our field personnel and receive information on the work and how to apply. At the exhibition stands, you can learn about the work of various actors involved in crisis management.

The event is open for all and free of charge. It can also be followed live online.
